A garden of lotuses
Bengal's handloom belt around Fulia and Shantipur in Nadia district is home to generations of weavers who make the airy tant and fine jamdani sarees worn across the state. Every saree here is woven on a traditional loom, one motif at a time.
Cotton yarn is dyed, starched and wound on to the loom. Weavers work the body, border and pallu by hand, adding jamdani motifs with extra weft threads inserted by hand. Embroidered and hand-painted pieces are finished by artisans after weaving.
Dry clean for the first wash. After that, hand-wash gently in cold water with mild detergent, dry in the shade and iron on medium heat. Do not wring.
Ready stock; dispatched within 3–5 working days and shipped across India and worldwide.
